Statement of Faith

Without mental reservations, we believe:

That the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the only verbally inspired Word of God; that it is the sole authority for doctrine and devotion. (Deut. 18:18-19, 22, Jer. 1:9, Isa. 46:9-10, 2 Sam. 23:2,1 Corinthians 2:13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21)

In the finality of the Scripture, knowing that all that the LORD God wants us to know and live by are contained therein only. (Deut. 29:29, 2 Tim.3:16-17, Gal. 1:6-10, 2 Pet. 3:1-2, Rev.22: 18-21)

In one God, creator of heaven and earth, who eternally exists in three persons—God the Father, God the Son.  (i.e. Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:26-27, Deut. 6:1-9, Matthew 28:18-19; Hebrews 1:1-3; Revelation 1:4-6)

That Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit . ( Isa. 7:13-14, Mat 1:18-25, Luke 1:26-38)

That God created all things, and mankind in His image in a perfect state; and that God granted man the power to rule over the rest of creation.  (Gen. 1:26-28, 1:31).

That, mankind in a state of perfection, made a willful choice to sin. Therefore, they are separated from God and are fallen in a state of total depravity and doomed to eternal hell fire, being without Christ. (Gen. 1:31, 3:1-24, Isa.26:10-14, 33:14, Mark 9:44 Ephesians 2:1-3).

In the personality/reality and power of Satan, and that God has absolute power over him.(Gen 3:1-4, I Chron. 21:1, Isa. 14:12-15, Job 1:6-12, Zech. 3:1-2, Ex. 18:9-12, Mat. 4:1-10, Lk. 10:17-20, Romans 8:31-39,1 Jn. 4:2-4)

That Jesus Christ, God the Son, died for the sins of humankind and rose bodily from the grave to please God; that salvation comes only by placing one’s faith in the finished work and the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that this salvation cannot be gained on account of human works. (Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:9-19)

That the work of regeneration is carried out only by the Holy Spirit in His convicting and converting power. (Jn. 14:16-17, Eph. 2:8-9, Titus 3:5) *

That the Church is both the universal and local Body of Christ (He is the Head) comprising only of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 16:13-20, 1 Cor. 12:13, Eph. 1:22-23, 2:19-22, 1 Cor.1:1-4, Eph. 1:1-2, Gal.1:1-5). We also believe that the Church’s human office of elders is reserved for men only. (I Timothy 2:8-15, 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9)

That we are to practice the two sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Mat. 28:19, Acts 2:38, Mat. 26:26-30, 1 Cor. 11:23-34)

That living the Christian life depends on the ministry of the Word of God, faith, prayer, and obedience to the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:20-23; 6:13-20, Colossians 3:14-15)

In the priesthood of all believers to worship the Lord at any place and time, based on the finished work of Jesus Christ. (Heb. 10:19-25, 1 Pet. 2:4-10)

In the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to execute the final judgment in which unbelievers will suffer eternally in hell, while believers will live forever in heaven with Jesus Christ. (John 5:28-29; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:11-15)
